Team Summary

Our Streaming Team is responsible for integrating and supporting streaming solutions for smart home devices, primarily cameras. We focus on delivering high-quality, reliable functionality in our products to meet the expectations of our global customer community. Operating at the firmware level, we work closely with hardware components and auxiliary equipment, while also tackling complex analytics tasks.

We follow the best practices of working in our industry. Our process involves evaluating each request or problem, assessing its importance and potential impact, and then designing and implementing an effective solution. We are also iteratively improving our tools using modern, AI-based methods and carefully integrating these enhancements to improve overall performance. Although we encounter frequent technical challenges, we maintain a healthy work–life balance, enabling us to perform at our best and contribute positively to the team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and skilled engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and streaming technologies, including low-latency video data processing. In this role, you will work with microcontrollers and microprocessors, leveraging strong proficiency in programming, debugging, and real-time operating systems, as well as Linux user-space development. You should be comfortable with core STL classes and capable of operating autonomously or with minimal supervision on key initiatives — whether developing new functionality or investigating critical issues within existing projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Write, integrate, verify, and support software components
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to solution analysis
  • Prepare design documentation and supporting instructions
  • Perform basic end-to-end device testing
  • Analyze device performance and key KPIs
  • Adhere to company and team standards, rules, and principles

Qualifications And Skills

  • Experience with programming languages: C, С++ (widely-used STL classes)
  • Experience in development and support of RTOS-based and Linux-based (user space) embedded systems
  • Practical experience with UDP/TCP-based communication systems
  • Understanding the basics of video and audio encoding technologies
  • Understanding of memory management and memory layout principles
  • Clear conceptual understanding of the TCP/IP stack and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN)
  • Understanding the basics of the system security and data encryption
  • Tools experience: Jira, Confluence, Git, Docker
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and identify root causes
  • Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • Practical experience with Python
  • Practical experience with popular media frameworks like GStreamer, and media standards like WebRTC, or similar
  • Practical experience with RTP/RTCP streaming pipelines
  • Practical experience with h264/h265 video encoding pipelines
  • Python general coding experience
