Role Overview

We’re hiring a Director of Technology to lead the strategic development and hands-on execution of our technology roadmap.

You’ll manage and grow an in-house engineering team, shape our infrastructure, and guide the implementation of AI and data intelligence across the business. You’ll also be a key part of our senior leadership team, helping steer the company’s wider digital and commercial direction.

This role is ideal for a hands-on senior tech leader who can write clean Python, lead critical infrastructure, and influence board-level decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the company-wide technology roadmap
• Lead and mentor the technology and software development team
• Oversee our self-hosted infrastructure and ensure performance, resilience, and security
• Guide the development of scalable, secure, and insight-driven platforms
• Embed AI tools into core functions (pricing, fulfilment, fraud, marketing)
• Translate operational and commercial goals into robust technical solutions
• Collaborate with leadership to influence innovation, investment, and digital strategy
• Represent technology at board level and with external partners where appropriate

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in a senior technology or engineering leadership role
• Strong Python development skills and hands-on coding background
• Experience managing secure on-premise infrastructure
• Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment and data platforms
• Commercial mindset with ability to align tech with revenue and margin priorities
• Strong communicator and collaborator, from boardroom to backend
