To complete our creative and dynamic team in Lausanne, we are seeking a:
Firmware Engineer Intern (100%)
Starting date: January/February 2026
Your role:
As a Firmware Engineer Intern, you will join our team for a research-focused role. You will work closely with engineering teams to explore, evaluate, and help clarify technical needs across key domains. This position provides significant exposure to the intersection of hardware and software. Depending on project priorities and your interests, your focus will be on embedded systems, camera technology, or both.
What you will own:
Your responsibilities will focus on one or more of the following research areas, based on project needs:
- Investigating topics related to microcontroller firmware, bootloader strategies, data logging solutions, and data transport layers.
- Evaluating frameworks for automated unit testing on target hardware.
- Researching camera system architectures and understanding Image Signal Processor (ISP) functionalities.
- Contributing to the enhancement and streamlining of internal testing tools for imaging.
- Exploring technical solutions for lighting and flash system design.
Your profile:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the intersection of hardware and software.
- Familiarity with (or strong desire to learn) programming languages such as C, C++, Python or Rust.
- Eye for details, independent mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good level of English. French or any additional language is an asset.
