Data Network Engineer

Employment: Permanent Role

Experience: 3+ years

Location: Sydney - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to requirements elicitation and translate business needs into network architecture and design artifacts.
• Develop and document network designs, data workflows, and technical specifications for network management solutions.
• Deliver high-quality configuration, automation scripts, and data workflows supporting network telemetry and monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams and key stakeholders for implementation, testing, and smooth transition of network-related solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network or data pipeline issues to ensure high-quality deliverables across all SDLC stages within defined policies and norms.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of data networking fundamentals – routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network management tools (SNMP, NetFlow, NMS platforms like SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.).
• Experience in network monitoring, telemetry ingestion, performance analysis, and event/fault management.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python or Shell for network operations and data workflows.
• Ability to analyze issues, create documentation (architecture/design), and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
