About the role

We’re looking for an Ai Engineer to join a project focused on automating the processing of large volumes of documentation through AI and intelligent workflows. The solution is being built from scratch on Azure cloud infrastructure (recently migrated from on-premise).

The role requires strong backend expertise, particularly in Python for AI-related components. Java experience is a plus. While direct experience with RAG and Azure AI services is highly valued, we also consider candidates with equivalent expertise in AWS (e.g., Bedrock, Kendra) or GCP.

The goal is to create a system that extracts, processes, and delivers data faster and more efficiently than current manual operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions in Python (priority) or Java.
• Integrate AI capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and RAG architectures, into backend systems.
• Leverage Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Cognitive Search, Form Recognizer) or equivalent services in AWS (Bedrock, Kendra) or GCP.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and propose well-justified technical solutions.
• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Terraform, private endpoints, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Functions.
• Ensure best practices in security, performance, and scalability.
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Take ownership of challenges, propose solutions proactively, and ensure follow-through.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong skills in Python (priority). Java is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, AI Search, Form Recognizer) or equivalent services in AWS/GCP.
• Solid expertise in cloud infrastructure (Terraform, private endpoints, Storage, Key Vault, Functions) – experience can come from Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Advanced English (B2+/C1), spoken and written.
• Strong communication, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep conceptual knowledge of RAG architectures.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and integration of LLMs.
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Prior experience in document processing or logistics-related platforms.
