About the Role

For a leading international technology-driven organization

We are looking for a freelancer .NET Developer with knowledge of AS400 and a related AS400 certificate. You will work on modern .NET applications while supporting integrations with existing AS400 systems.

Only candidates residing in Belgium will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications in .NET (C#)
• Build APIs and services that connect with AS400/IBM i environments
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support and improve existing AS400 interfaces or processes
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, and other developers
• Document code and technical changes

Requirements

• Strong experience with .NET / C# development
• Basic knowledge of AS400 / IBM i systems
• AS400 Certification (e.g., IBM i Administrator, IBM RPG Programmer, or equivalent)
• Understanding of SQL databases (DB2/SQL Server)
• Experience with REST APIs
• Good communication in Dutch or French, and English
• Able to work independently and in a team

Nice to Have

• Experience with RPGLE or CL programming
• Familiarity with Azure, Git, DevOps pipelines
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations (API, messaging)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum
