This company develops medical devices that can remove skin lesions with very cold air, used in dermatology, podiatry and aesthetic applications, among others.
Components are produced externally based on their own design and development.
Once the pieces are delivered, full assembly, quality control, testing and packaging happen in-house.
The work requires a high degree of precision because the devices are small and technically very finely constructed.
Your role:
As a Mechanical Product Designer R&D, you will participate in the entire development process of new and existing products.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design and development of mechanical parts and products (2D/3D - SolidWorks)
- Development and maintenance of technical documentation
- Actively collaborate with your R&D colleagues and other internal departments
- Working within a team of three developers, each with their own expertise
- Participate in weekly R&D meetings and process input from management, sales and customer feedback to implement improvements
- Monthly follow-up meeting with management
- Participating in the development of new product lines
- Testing prototypes and functionality in the demo lab
- Using in-house 3D printing facilities for prototyping; final prototypes are produced externally and assembled internally
Your profile:
As a Mechanical Product Designer R&D, you can tick off the points below
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering in a technical field
- Preferably 3-5 years' experience, but motivated starters may also be considered
- Strongly communicative and team-oriented
- Dutch is desirable; an engineering profile with other language skills is also possible, provided good technical communication is maintained
- Knowledge or affinity with electronics or electromechanics is a plus
