Job Description:

Our Client has chosen to modernize one of its main tools dedicated to investigation management. Currently, this solution is a legacy Windows client application. It is widely used within the Federal Police for managing investigations and drafting reports.

As part of this modernization, a thorough analysis will be conducted, in which UX and UI aspects will play a central role. Your initial task will be to design screen prototypes, integrating both visual design and interactions. These prototypes will be validated by end users and various stakeholders before being implemented by the developers.

During this analysis phase, you will be supported by a functional analyst, well-integrated within the organization and possessing in-depth knowledge of the operational challenges to be addressed.

Once the analysis is complete, the solution implementation phase will begin. During this stage, you will be responsible for writing user stories, test scenarios, validating the developed solution, and writing any bug reports or additional user stories to correct any identified non-conformities with your designs and the intended interactions. You will also be expected to adapt your designs based on evolving user needs.

Main Responsibilities:

During your assignment, you will be required to:

• Familiarize yourself with the existing system and understand the police context and operational requirements. This will require consulting with various stakeholders (including the functional analyst) to obtain a comprehensive needs assessment.

• Propose designs that result in a simple and intuitive application with smooth and logical navigation and transitions between screens.

• Ensure that the applications adapt to different screen sizes and device types (computer, tablet, smartphone). The information density must be appropriate and allow for easy reading, regardless of the device used.

• Propose clear and non-redundant features. The design must be clean and legible, the information density must facilitate readability, and the contrast between different elements must be sufficient.

• Participate in defining the scope of the application and the MVP (with the functional analyst), and write the user stories to achieve this MVP.

• Assist developers in implementing your design by guiding them and basing your work on CSS frameworks such as PrimeNG, while providing them with references or directly integrable CSS code.

• Test the application, organize user testing sessions, and propose corrective actions based on these tests to adapt the application accordingly.

Desired Profile:

• You have a background in UX/UI Design, strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and the use of frameworks such as PrimeNG, along with significant experience in a similar role.
• You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You are able to synthesize the needs of users with diverse profiles to deliver clear, understandable, and actionable solutions for the technical teams.
• You effectively gather user feedback during testing sessions and are able to translate it into concrete and relevant actions.
• You are an expert in interface prototyping and also have a good understanding of vector graphics. You are proficient in tools such as Figma and Illustrator.
• You are fluent in English and at least one of the two national languages. Active knowledge of one national language and at least a passive knowledge of the other is a significant advantage.
