About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's team on a freelance basis. You will be working with a pioneer in digital protection, known for its commitment to safeguarding individuals and organisations from online threats. The client is requiring two profiles to come in and support on a contract for an internal data project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Design and implement data models for analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver actionable insights.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data storage and processing.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect).
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka).
- Background in data governance and GDPR compliance.
- Finnish language skills (not mandatory).
