What You Can Expect

The Algorithm Expert is a specialized role within the Research and Development team, focused on the design, development, and optimization of algorithms used in medical device software applications. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in algorithmic design, mathematical modelling, and signal processing within the context of medical technology.

How You'll Create Impact

Algorithm Development

• Design, develop, and implement complex algorithms for medical device software, including signal processing, image analysis, data analytics, and machine learning algorithms.
  
  

Algorithm Optimization

• Continuously refine and optimize algorithms for performance, speed, and memory efficiency to ensure they meet real-time processing requirements in a resource-constrained environment.
  
  

Mathematical Modelling

• Apply advanced mathematical modelling techniques to simulate and analyze medical data, facilitating the development of accurate and reliable algorithms.
  
  

Data Integration And Preprocessing

• Develop algorithms for data preprocessing, noise reduction, feature extraction, and data fusion to enhance the quality of information obtained from medical sensors and devices.
  
  

Validation And Verification

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish validation protocols, conduct testing, and ensure that algorithms meet intended use requirements and regulatory standards.
  
  

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay abreast of relevant medical device regulations and standards and ensure that algorithm development practices align with industry best practices.
  
  

Collaboration And Communication

• Work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, clinical experts, and quality assurance professionals to integrate algorithms seamlessly into medical device software.
  
  

Documentation And Reporting

• Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including algorithm design specifications, validation protocols, and risk assessments, to support product development and regulatory compliance.
  
  

Research And Innovation

• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in algorithm development, signal processing, and medical device technology to drive innovation within the organization.
  
  

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2+ years of similar experience, 6+ years for senior positions
• Strong proficiency in mathematical modelling, signal processing, and algorithm design, with expertise in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical algorithms
  
  

Your Background

• University degree in technical or material sciences (M.Sc. or higher, Ph.D.) is preferred.
