WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Take full end-to-end responsibility for ML, AI and agentic AI use cases, from problem framing and data preparation through modelling, orchestration, evaluation and production deployment.
• Design agent architectures including planner–executor patterns, multi-agent setups, memory, reflection and tool-use, ensuring robustness, transparency and controllability throughout.
• Implement the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable secure, standardised tool integrations across internal and external environments.
• Orchestrate LLMs and toolchains using LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel and OpenAI Assistants, including function calling, fallback logic and guardrail mechanisms.
• Build and refine RAG pipelines covering ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval strategies, caching and detailed evaluation for precision, recall and latency.
• Develop strong MLOps and LLMOps foundations, including experiment tracking, prompt and dataset versioning, CI/CD, artefact registries, monitoring and incident response workflows.
• Strengthen reliability, safety and compliance through prompt-injection defences, content filtering, policy enforcement, red-teaming and measurable quality gates.
• Conduct thorough offline and online evaluations such as backtesting, time-series validation, A/B and shadow testing, canary releases, drift detection and impact monitoring.
• Optimise performance and cost across latency, throughput, rate limits, batching, streaming and caching, while maintaining clear usage and cost visibility.
• Work closely with product owners, engineers and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions on Databricks (AWS) and integrate them into existing internal systems.
• Create clear documentation, reusable templates and playbooks, while supporting teammates and contributing to shared engineering best practices.
