HR Professional Absence & Vitality


As an Absenteeism Coach you’ll be the key player in guiding and advising managers and employees on absenteeism and prevention. You'll be a visible presence within the organization, proactively take initiative, and aren't afraid to take charge. You'll independently manage a caseload, identify risks, and monitor the progress of absenteeism files. You'll work with HR and the Business to make a difference for employees and continuously improve our services with our Absenteeism & Prevention team.

  • Analyzing trends in absenteeism and translating these into concrete actions together with your colleagues.
  • Providing both solicited and unsolicited advice to the business and HR, always with an eye for improvement.
  • Preparing and developing advice and supporting reintegration processes.
  • Contributing to the further professionalization of the Absenteeism & Prevention team and optimizing our HR services.
  • Collaborating with various HR colleagues, such as absenteeism and prevention experts, sustainable employability experts, HR advisors, and HR business partners.
  • Actively considering the prevention and reduction of absenteeism, including through the My Energy program.

Delivering excellent work starts with knowledge and skills. In-depth knowledge and experience with complex absenteeism and relevant legislation is essential. You are an experienced absenteeism coach who truly understands this profession. You're energized by a hands-on approach and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves. You're attentive to HR developments, work closely with your HR colleagues, and enjoy advising the business. Service-oriented, senior, and decisive action are what define you. You're someone who trusts everything that goes well, but also looks for areas for improvement.:You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, with a completed training in absenteeism management or case management (ROV/CROV), preferably supplemented with RCCM.


  • You have 5+ years of relevant work experience and a proven track record of at least 3 years in absenteeism case management.
  • You have advisory and coaching skills and are a strong discussion partner for HR and the business.
  • You have extensive knowledge of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act, the Sickness Benefits Act, the Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act and basic knowledge of the GDPR.
