Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) have a consulting assignment available for an ECU System Test Engineer to work on a project we have in Södertälje, Sweden.

Currently, we’re looking for an experienced ECU System Test Engineer with strong experience in automotive ECU verification, Python-based automation, and CANoe/CAN diagnostics, to help us provide solutions on a project based in Södertälje, Sweden.

You’ll be involved in:

• Executing manual system-level test cases for automotive ECUs
• Gradually transitioning into automated testing using Python-based internal frameworks
• Supporting verification leads by providing clear test coverage, traceability and documentation
• Performing functional ECU validation, including communication, diagnostics, and safety-related behaviour
• Analysing logs, identifying defects, and driving root cause investigations with development teams
• Working hands-on with bench/rig setups, CAN tools and system integration environments
• Contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes as the project scales

In order to suit the project requirements, you must have:

• 5+ years’ experience in automotive system testing or ECU verification
• Proven background in manual test execution for embedded/ECU systems
• Experience with Python scripting for test automation (pytest or internal frameworks)
• Strong experience using CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.)
• Understanding of UDS, DTCs, AUTOSAR diagnostic principles
• Experience analysing ECU logs, signals, communication behaviour and integration results
• Knowledge of Functional Safety and/or Cyber Security principles (ISO 26262 awareness beneficial)
• Ability to work on-site in Södertälje in a rig/lab test environment
