Engineering Manager to Data & Analytics Engineering

Are you ready to be a key contributor, leading the 'data way' within the Data & Analytics Engineering department of NOBA Bank by taking on a substantial role as an Engineering Manager?

About The Role

Data & Analytics Engineering consists of established subgroups with dedicated focuses on backend, frontend, and data management within data engineering. In this role, you will be the Engineering Manager for one of our subgroups and play a pivotal leadership role in further strengthening the data personnel and data technology aspects within Data & Analytics Engineering.

As the Engineering Manager, your focus will be on leading a team and data-related projects to enhance data capabilities, establish new solutions, leading migration projects on cloud data platforms, and manage the organization's vital asset – data.

Main Tasks

• Leadership responsibility for managing one of the teams within our Data & Analytics Engineering function, specifically the Core Data Team consisting of 5 Data Engineers.
• Overseeing and owning data-related solutions, migrations, and projects within the data management area.
• Ensuring the effective utilization of data in data assets.
• Partial product ownership for planning, prioritization, and execution of your area's data projects.
• Technical oversight of your area's data solutions and guidance for stakeholders and your team.
• Providing strong technical leadership within data engineering, including guiding and ensuring best practices in development, migrations, and deployment, and leading technical implementations and rollouts of data solutions.
  
  

We Are Looking For You Who

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Work experience of a minimum of 5 years in data engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a team of data professionals.
• Demonstrated technical leadership within data engineering, with experience leading deployments and driving the adoption of modern data engineering practices.
• Data engineering expertise, in-depth knowledge of data engineering and analytics principles, tools, and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL processes, data modeling, and data visualization.
• Project and product management skills, including data-related project planning with roadmaps, execution, and successful delivery.
  
  

It's Plus If You Have

Hands-on experience with the following tools and technologies: Microsoft Azure, Databricks, DBT, Python, or similar.
