Google Data Engineer

Role Description:

• Build and migrate existing data solutions to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support data analysis and ML/AI products.
• Develop new data products on GCP using DBT and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Experts to design relevant and efficient data models for data products.
• Integrate and sync data from multiple sources using Cloud Functions and Python, when necessary.
• Orchestrate components and data pipeline elements using Terraform and Cloud Workflows.
• Work closely with other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to deliver optimal solutions for current business needs.

Experience (Years):

• 6–8 years

Essential Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, etc.)
• SQL
• DBT
• Python
• Terraform
• Power BI (optional/added advantage)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Minimum 6 years of experience as:
• Data Engineer on modern cloud data platforms or advanced analytics environments, or
• Software Engineer with cloud technologies and infrastructure
• Experience working with various data formats (Avro, Parquet)
• Proficiency in data query languages (SQL or equivalent)
• Experience with data-centric programming using one or more: Python, Java, Scala
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and trade-offs
• Knowledge of NoSQL and RDBMS databases
• Collaborative, co-creative mindset with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Experience with data visualization tools
