Overview
Seeking a Senior Network Engineer focused on Cisco Collaboration (CUCM/UCCX) and enterprise voice, with strong Microsoft Teams Phone, Azure networking, and VMware vSphere skills. Owns operations, complex incident resolution, changes, configuration &
backup management, and continuous improvement across on-prem and cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- CUCM/Call Manager: Globalized dial plan (E.164), partitions/CSS, route patterns/lists/groups, device pools/regions, media resources, LDAP/SSO, certs, DRS backups.
- UCCX: Call-flow scripting, prompts, queues/skills, Finesse, CUIC reporting/wallboards; version-controlled exports/backups of scripts & prompts.
- Unity Connection: Call handlers, routing rules, mailbox policies, MWI; DRS backup/restore validation.
- Voice gateways/SBCs: Cisco IOS/CUBE (SIP/MGCP/H.323), SRST, PSTN/SIP trunking, numbering/translation; change-controlled config backups.
- Microsoft Teams Phone: Direct Routing/Operator Connect, dial plans & voice routing, E911, call queues/auto attendants, SBA; CQD diagnostics.
- SBC admin (AudioCodes/Ribbon/CUBE as SBC): TLS/SRTP, certs, number porting; archive configs/firmware; documented routing policies.
- Billing & Recording: Imagicle billing (tariffs/chargeback, usage reports); Calabrio recording/QM/WFM (policies, retention/encryption, audits) with tested backups/restores.
- Azure networking: VNets, NSGs/ASGs, UDRs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway (WAF), Load Balancer, Private Link/Endpoints; Network Watcher; baseline export/IaC where feasible.
- VMware vSphere: vCenter/ESXi, VM lifecycle, vMotion/HA/DRS; patching with vLCM; vCenter/host-profile backups.
- Operational excellence: ITIL change/incident/problem, RCAs, CMDB/HLD/LLD/runbooks, nightly automated configuration backups
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years in enterprise voice/UC & network ops across multi-site environments.
- Hands-on CUCM, UCCX (CUIC/Finesse), Unity, SRST, QoS for real-time media; SIP/MGCP/H.323 fundamentals.
- Teams Phone: Direct Routing/Operator Connect, dial plans/voice routing, CQD; SBC administration experience.
- Azure networking: VNets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN/ExpressRoute, App Gateway/WAF, Load Balancer, Private Link/Endpoints.
- VMware: vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vMotion/HA/DRS; vLCM patching workflows.
- Configuration & backups: Proven operation of automated device/UC backups, retention/encryption, and successful restore testing.
- Strong troubleshooting (SIP ladders/PCAP, SBC traces, QoS/jitter/loss) and clear documentation skills.
- ITIL familiarity (Change/Incident/Problem); solid stakeholder and vendor management.
- Preferred / Certifications
- CCNP Collaboration (preferred), CCNA (required).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Associate.
- Azure Administrator or Network Engineer Associate.
- VMware VCP-DCV.
- ITIL Foundation.
