Role: Scrum Master / Agile (SAFe) Scrum Master
Location: Hybrid Onsite - Richmond, VA, Kennsaw, GA, or Chicago, IL
Rate: $70.33 - $73.94/hour
Duration: 12-18 Month Contract (W2)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support initiatives, including two vendor-led projects that incorporate AI models. This role requires strong facilitation, Lean-Agile delivery skills, and the ability to manage both new vendor onboarding and the integration of new products with an existing vendor. The Scrum Master will ensure smooth coordination, documentation, and alignment across internal teams, vendors, and enterprise processes.

Must-Haves / Required Skills

• 7–8 years of overall experience with 6+ years as a Scrum Master
• Demonstrated experience facilitating daily standups, backlog refinement, grooming, sprint ceremonies, and Agile reporting
• Strong background in vendor management, including onboarding, enablement, and delivery oversight
• Experience supporting AI-related projects or high-documentation environments
• Hands-on, recent expertise with Jira
• Solid knowledge of Lean Agile practices, SAFe ceremonies, and Agile deliverables
• SAFe or CSM certification
• Exceptional communication and documentation capabilities
• Strong, stable work tenure with no significant gaps
  
  

Project Details

• Supporting two vendor-development projects that include AI model components
• Manage onboarding for a new vendor and product integration for an existing vendor
• Navigate increased documentation and process rigor due to AI involvement
• Coordinate across internal stakeholders and vendors to align delivery timelines, expectations, and compliance
• Hybrid of Scrum Master facilitation, vendor interaction, and delivery orchestration
  
  

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile ceremonies, ensuring team alignment, transparency, and consistent delivery
• Partner closely with vendors to manage onboarding, setup, and ongoing support
• Maintain and groom backlogs, ensuring clarity and priority alignment
• Track risks, dependencies, and blockers; facilitate timely resolution
• Ensure compliance with processes and AI governance requirements
• Produce clear, structured documentation for delivery teams and leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, and product
