An experienced Electrical Engineer is required to manage and maintain electrical systems within a Facilities Management (FM) environment. The role involves overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting FM projects, and driving energy efficiency initiatives.
Your role
Electrical Systems Management
- Oversee operation and maintenance of electrical systems including LV/MV panels, lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
- Ensure proper execution of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical expertise for electrical design, installation, and commissioning in FM projects.
- Review electrical drawings and specifications for compliance with Qatar regulations and international standards.
- Ensure adherence to Qatar Civil Defense and safety standards for electrical systems.
- Implement health and safety protocols during maintenance and project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and asset performance.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for system improvements and energy efficiency.
- BSc degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years in the same position within Facilities Management.
- Overall 10+ years of experience in civil engineering roles, preferably in FM.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety codes, and energy management.
- Proficiency in CAFM systems, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with SFG20 standards, ISO FM standards, and Qatar regulatory requirements.
- Experience in energy efficiency projects and sustainability initiatives.
- Knowledge of MEP coordination and asset lifecycle management.
