We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compensation & Benefits Officer to join our HR team. This role is foundational to ensuring smooth HR operations across the full employee life cycle—from onboarding to offboarding—while supporting both local and group-level reporting, governance, and payroll coordination. You’ll work across two legal entities, gaining exposure to both operational and strategic HR processes, and will be instrumental in documenting, optimizing, and automating workflows within and beyond the HR function.

What the Key Tasks Look Like

  • HR Operations & Payroll
  • Coordinate and execute outsourced and in-house payroll activities across two legal entities
  • Administer employee benefits and manage the HR mailbox
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee lifecycle events (onboarding, transfers, exits, etc.)
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and support system updates (Excel, SAP/Workday, Power BI)
  • Process Documentation & Optimization
  • Document all HR processes and workflows with clarity and consistency
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains within HR and in collaboration with other departments (Finance, Legal, IT)
  • Contribute to the digitalization and streamlining of HR services
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for both local and group stakeholders
  • Support compensation benchmarking, salary grid updates, and benefits analysis
  • Interpret and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for internal stakeholders (employees, managers, HR colleagues) and external partners (payroll providers, benefits vendors)
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across functions and hierarchies
  • Support strategic HR and governance initiatives beyond day-to-day operations


Required Skills And Competences

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or related field – or equivalent by experience
  • Proven track record within HR administration and reporting
  • Strong numerical literacy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors, Workday , or Power BI is a plus
  • Basic understandingSolid understanding of Belgian labor law and social legislation
  • Fluent in English and Dutch or French, with at least a conversational level in the other national language.; Dutch or French
  • Strong documentation and process-mapping skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple entities and managing diverse stakeholder needs
  • Strong organisation and prioritization skills
