Data Analyst (m/f/d)

A global technology solutions provider specializing in data-driven insights and digital transformation is seeking a Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience. This role is on-site and full-time. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights, owning requirements gathering, data exploration, Power BI modeling, and automation using Python, with strong SQL skills at the core. Exposure to Snowflake and Azure is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Analytics: Translate business questions into metrics, analyses, and clear recommendations; manage intake, scope, and delivery timelines.
• Reporting & BI: Build and maintain Power BI models (star schema), DAX measures, Power Query transformations; implement Row level security, refresh schedules
• Analysis & Storytelling: Analyse patterns and changes, find what’s causing them, and explain the results clearly with easy-to-read charts.
• SQL & Data Prep: Write optimized SQL (CTEs, window functions) to extract, shape, and validate data from DW/lake and operational systems.
• Automation: Use Python (pandas, NumPy) to automate recurring analysis and data quality checks; package re-usable notebooks/scripts.
• Excel Power User: Pivot tables, advanced formulas (INDEX/XMATCH), Power Query; quick ad-hoc analysis and reconciliation.
• Data Quality & Governance: Define KPIs, document logic/lineage, build QA checks, and ensure consistency across reports.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics/BI roles delivering business-facing insights and dashboards.
• Strong SQL across large datasets; comfort with performance tuning and data validation.
• Proficiency in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) and Excel (advanced).
• Working Python for data manipulation/automation (pandas, NumPy).
• Solid business communication— problem framing, solution recommendations, concise insights, and decision influence.
• Bachelor’s in Data/Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.

• Knowledge of Azure data services-especially Azure Data Lake (plus ADF/Databricks familiarity).
• Power BI Service admin basics (gateways, workspace governance, refresh troubleshooting).
