We are looking to hire a skilled Data Mining Specialist to join one of our banking clients in Doha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial management reporting and analytics functions. Candidates with a strong expertise in extracting, analysing and interpreting complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends and actionable insights. This role will play a key part in enhancing data-driven decision-making, improving reporting accuracy and supporting strategic initiatives across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Generate insightful reports using advanced analytics tools.
- Data Science & AI: Utilize machine learning and statistical analysis to drive predictive modelling and business optimization.
- Process Automation: Develop automated financial workflows using Python or other scripting languages.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, VBA, DAX, Python for data analysis and visualization.
- Data Science & Machine Learning: Understanding of statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and AI-driven forecasting.
- Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to leverage data science methodologies to solve financial challenges.
- Communication & Storytelling: Present complex data insights in an understandable and actionable way.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis roles, preferably in a business partnering capacity.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, financial software).
- Experience with SAP business intelligence tools and ERP systems is a plus.
