About the opportunity


We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our agile engineering team. This role is pivotal in delivering technology projects, with a primary focus on contact centre development and building secure, scalable backend and frontend solutions on AWS.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain Healthdirect’s software products and services.
  • Enhance tools and web services to meet functional, operational, and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain technical designs and documentation across front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Participate in incident support and resolution (Level 1).
  • Support the Customer division to ensure uninterrupted digital service delivery.


What You’ll Bring


  • 8+ years’ experience in software engineering, with functional programming skills and expertise in NodeJs/Typescript.
  • 4+ years’ experience designing scalable and secure solutions in AWS.
  • 2+ years’ recent experience in front-end development using React or similar frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including VMs, Containers, Serverless, and both relational and non-relational databases.
