The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, JAX-RS), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- Experience in computer vision and machine learning.
- Experience with Multimodal Machine Learning.
- Experience in Generative AI.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust MLOps pipelines and models that are integral to the team's mission.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and other engineers to transition computer vision and large language model (LLM) research into scalable, production-ready systems.
- Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, focusing on the reliability and scalability of AI systems, and promoting data-driven decision-making throughout the model lifecycle.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for complex technical problems, with an emphasis on model serving, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Manage your individual project priorities, focusing on modeling and research-to-production transitions, while contributing to the team's collective goals and continuous learning.
