The Head of AI & Automation will be responsible to define, implement, and govern AI and automation strategies across QF’s digital delivery initiatives. The role ensures that AI and automation solutions are aligned with enterprise and cloud architectures, deliver measurable business value, and comply with QF’s policies, international standards, and ethical guidelines. The post holder will work across multiple programmes to embed automation and AI into digital solutions, enhancing service quality, efficiency, and innovation.


Key Result Areas:

  • Define QF’s AI and automation roadmap within the context of digital transformation and enterprise IT direction.
  • Ensure AI and automation solutions are designed, delivered, and integrated into digital services with measurable outcomes.
  • Embed AI governance, controls, and risk management in line with QF policies and standards (e.g. ISO 42001).
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI/automation technologies with potential to deliver business impact.
  • Work with QF entities and delivery teams to ensure adoption, alignment, and optimisation of AI-driven services.
  • Build awareness, guidelines, and knowledge-sharing frameworks on AI and automation across QFIT.
  • Establish and maintain an enterprise AI and automation framework that aligns with QF’s digital delivery model.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of AI models, automation pipelines, and digital assistants to support QF services.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical AI principles, data protection requirements, and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Act as subject-matter expert for AI and automation within digital delivery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, data specialists, and programme managers to embed AI in project delivery.
  • Deliver regular reporting and insight to senior management on AI/automation adoption, performance, and outcomes.
  • Represent QFIT in internal and external working groups, sharing expertise and promoting QF’s digital agenda.
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor


Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
  • 8- 10 years in IT or digital delivery, with at least 3 years focused on AI, automation, or data-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise AI platforms, automation tools (RPA, workflow orchestration), and data engineering.
  • Proven ability to define strategy, oversee solution delivery, and influence stakeholders in a complex organisation.
  • Governance: Knowledge of AI policy, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 42001, GDPR).
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business value.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
