About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be embedded in the Practice Management team. Practice Management, the largest team, owns essential daily practitioner workflows across diverse practice sizes and contexts, and this role will strategically help split the team into two focused groups by workflow or feature domain in Q1 2026. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will partner with an engineering manager and a Product Manager as part of a cross-functional trio, leading a team of dedicated engineers. You'll collaborate with PM and engineering leads in sprint ceremonies, planning, and retrospectives. You will also engage with design practice through critiques and workshops and partner with stakeholders across the organisation, gathering context and sharing progress asynchronously.


Key Responsibilities:

Outcome-Focused Design

  • Focus on measurable outcomes connecting to practitioner efficiency, patient experience, and business metrics
  • Use research insights and analytics to prioritise initiatives and validate solutions
  • Define success metrics with your trio and track design impact

Discovery and Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end design initiatives from discovery through delivery across scheduling, documentation, reporting, and resource management domains
  • Plan and conduct user research and usability testing with allied health practitioners and practice owners. Map user journeys and synthesise findings into actionable opportunities that inform roadmap priorities
  • Build research literacy within your team, establishing regular customer feedback loops

Vision-Led Design & Transformation

  • Be part of transforming Splose into a design vision-led product organisation
  • Inspire stakeholder buy-in by creating high-fidelity prototypes of future user journeys
  • Build alignment and excitement around product direction before diving into delivery
  • Slice vision work into core functionality and iterate pragmatically, balancing ambitious goals with incremental delivery

Transparent Design Practice (Work Out Loud)

  • Work independently and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the org.
  • Proactively gather context from documentation and cross-functional collaborators
  • Document design decisions and progress for asynchronous feedback, enabling efficient collaboration across time zones
  • Share brief research snippets, Loom videos of design updates, and work-in-progress for quick consumption and early input
  • Make design thinking visible through regular updates in Slack channels and team forums

Design System & AI Integration

  • Implement design system components in product work and partner with designers to customise our foundation
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make) for ideation, prototype generation, and research synthesis to accelerate design workflows

International Adaptation

  • Partner with UX Researcher on workflows and regulatory requirements in AUS, UK, USA
  • Adapt features for local healthcare regulations, time zones, currencies, and terminology


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years product design experience, preferably including B2B SaaS
  • Relevant design degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Track record implementing design systems
  • Extensive experience with Figma and industry-standard tools
  • High-quality UI and interaction design meeting accessibility standards
  • Development-ready design asset management and clear collaboration approach
  • Planning and conducting user research and usability testing independently
  • Mapping user journeys and understanding complex workflows
  • Using research insights and metrics to drive design decisions
  • AI literacy using tools for ideation, prototype generation, and research synthesis


Preferred Experience:

  • B2B SaaS serving professional services or healthcare
  • Fast-paced tech startup culture
  • Healthcare or allied health contexts, clinical workflow understanding
  • International expansion and multi-market compliance
  • Workforce of practice management, scheduling, or documentation systems
  • Remote-first or distributed team environments


What Success Looks Like

In your first six months:

  • Complete two major discovery and delivery initiatives end-to-end
  • Create compelling design visions that inspire stakeholder buy-in and align teams around product direction
  • Develop deep understanding of practice management workflows across practice types and markets (AU, UK, US) and
  • Build domain knowledge of the Allied Health ecosystem and regulatory requirements
  • Establish strong trio relationships demonstrating design's strategic value
  • Build regular customer feedback loops through independent research
  • Track metrics and validate design work with insights, demonstrating outcome focus
  • Contribute to design system customisation
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and establish effective working out loud practices
