Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects across their full lifecycle. Working closely with the Project Manager, this role helps organize tasks, track milestones, manage documentation, and ensure that project activities progress smoothly and on schedule. The Assistant Project Manager acts as a bridge between teams and stakeholders, ensuring information flows clearly, obstacles are addressed promptly, and project objectives are delivered with quality and efficiency. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in collaborative and fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project schedules, scopes, and resource plans in alignment with project goals.

• Coordinate daily project activities, ensuring tasks are assigned, monitored, and completed on time.

• Track project progress, prepare status updates, and flag risks, delays, or changes that may impact timelines.

• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including meeting notes, action lists, and project logs.

• Support budget tracking by updating cost reports, reviewing invoices, and monitoring financial variances.

• Facilitate communication with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to maintain alignment.

• Organize project meetings, prepare agendas and presentations, and follow up on assigned deliverables.

• Assist in quality checks, compliance reviews, and adherence to internal processes and project standards.

• Participate in risk assessments and help implement mitigation plans for potential project issues.

• Contribute to improving project workflows by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support within a project-driven environment.

• Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and standard productivity applications.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to document and present information clearly and professionally.

• Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving project environments.
