Job Description
We are looking for a Junior C/C++ Software Developer to support a high-impact project with the world’s leading manufacturer of lithography machines. This is a unique opportunity to begin your career working on advanced technology in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing embedded software for chip-making equipment, focusing on quality, accuracy, and performance
- Learn to work with hardware interfaces in an Embedded Linux environment
- Collaborate closely with functional experts, including Mechatronic Engineers
- Work within a Scrum team alongside experienced and multicultural software developers
- Gain hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), refactoring, performance tuning, and testing in C/C++
- Contribute to systems design discussions using UML diagrams
- Learn how to build new drivers from scratch, starting from Software Impact Analysis to implementation
- Develop basic skills in Test-Driven Development (TDD), writing simple tests, and contributing to test documentation
Requirements
Must-have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electronics, or a related field
- Some academic or internship experience in C/C++ programming
- Basic understanding of software development in Linux environments
- Willingness to learn embedded software development and hardware interaction
- Strong motivation to develop skills in OOD, UML, and modern development practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a multicultural team
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to Python
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (gtest/gmock) or automation testing
- Basic understanding of TDD principles
- Interest in the semiconductor or high-tech industry
