People Operations & Services Specialist | Full Time | St. Gallen, Switzerland
As a People Operations & Services Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting employees throughout their journey at Meteomatics, from onboarding to off-boarding and everything in between.
You’ll combine strong HR administration and compliance skills with a passion for improving processes, systems, and employee experience through technology, automation, and smart service delivery.
You’ll work closely with the Lead of People Operations & Services and collaborate across HR, Finance, IT, and Workplace Management to ensure smooth and compliant operations across all Meteomatics locations.

As a People Operations & Services Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting employees throughout their journey at Meteomatics, from onboarding to off-boarding and everything in between.
You’ll combine strong HR administration and compliance skills with a passion for improving processes, systems, and employee experience through technology, automation, and smart service delivery.
You’ll work closely with the Lead of People Operations & Services and collaborate across HR, Finance, IT, and Workplace Management to ensure smooth and compliant operations across all Meteomatics locations.
Your Responsibilities
- HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle
- Independently manage all personnel administration tasks from onboarding to offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, amendments, references, and HR-related documents.
- Maintain accurate employee data and records in HRIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with Swiss labor, tax, and social security regulations, while supporting coordination across international offices.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR administrative matters, ensuring timely, high-quality support.
- Self-Service & Employee Support
- Build and maintain self-service resources such as FAQs, chatbots, and employee knowledge bases.
- Manage frontline employee support inquiries and ensure efficient escalation to specialized HR teams when needed.
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Document, standardize, and continuously improve HR processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Support the definition of service-level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs for People Services.
- Support HR projects related to digitalization, process improvement, and compliance.
- HR Systems & Technology
- Support evaluation, implementation, and optimization of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, case management, employee portals).
- Ensure accurate data maintenance, system documentation, and smooth integrations with other business systems.
- Completed HR Assistant certification (Personalassistent/in) or higher qualification.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in HR administration, People Operations, or employee services.
- Solid knowledge of Swiss labor, payroll, and social insurance regulations. -Experience with labor law in Germany, Norway, the UK, or the US is a strong plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems, case management, or employee portals.
- Track record in defining or improving HR processes and documentation.
- Comfortable working with HR technology, automation tools, and AI-driven support systems.
- Strong data accuracy, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
- Proficient with Office and collaboration tools Personal Attributes.

- Experience with AI chatbots, conversational AI, or automation in HR.
- Familiarity with ITIL or HR service management frameworks.
- Previous experience in tech or SaaS environments.
- Fluency in English; German is a strong plus.
