Summary
icetana use AI to keep people safe across large scale surveillance networks.
We had our strongest financial year last year and we are on track to build on this growth and build something important and large out of Perth Western Australia.
We are looking for a new Software & AI Engineer to help us maintain our lead as our product suite and customers expand.
AI Driven Video Analytics - Software & AI Engineer
icetana is ASX’s new kid on the block, having recently rung the bell and listed, we are ready to accelerate our product roadmap to stay ahead of the competition and dominate our industry.
If you think (like we do) that Artificial Intelligence will underpin the next industrial revolution, read on…..
icetana
Our core anomaly detection innovation came from Curtin University and we use it across multiple industries including Retail, Casinos and Universities. We pride ourselves on putting AI behind the world’s surveillance cameras, so our customers can focus on what matters.
The Role
We are looking for someone with a strong background in full stack development who wants to transition into working on machine learning fulltime. To help you grow, you’ll have the opportunity to be mentored by some of Perth’s best Machine Learning Engineers.
You’ll be responsible for training, evaluating and productionising a range of machine learning models as well as developing novel algorithms that knock the socks of our customers.
We have big ambitions to drive our product and growth - there are hoards of script kiddies nipping at our heels, we need to continue to innovate and build a flexible platform to compete.
The Tech
We have a fairly modern and light-weight software development process. Our ML development stack is written in Python. We use PyTorch and OpenCV for model/algorithm development, Docker and PDM for dependency management and productionise our systems with Triton and TensorRT. We use PostgreSQL as a feature store and several other tools for data storage, labelling and maintenance.
We love to move fast; we built a new stack for Facial Recognition and License Plate Recognition in the space of 6 weeks.
You
- At least 2 years of full stack development experience.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Python skills - ideally worked with ReactJS before.
- Experience with containerisation using Docker.
- Worked with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Completed some online machine learning courses and are eager to learn more.
- Not a Jerk - no matter how brilliant. We don’t need any Elton Johns or Mariah Careys in this team.
- Focussed on self improvement - Machine Learning, AI and Computer Vision are moving at a rapid pace, you need to be passionately interested in these subjects, you’ll be spending a LOT of time in them.
Next Steps
There are not very many true Artificial Intelligence gigs in Western Australia, are you really interested in it? Do you feel brave enough to compete on the world stage from little old Perth?
OK, the cheerleading is over now - if you lasted this long and your heart rate hasn’t reached a resting state, dust off your resume, fire it through and we’ll schedule a call. The more creative your application, the more likely the call will start well :)
