StartupHeroes is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build end-to-end product features, design and implement API methods, develop modern UI components, and improve the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly support our products and organisations.

We build apps using reliable tools that our team knows and trusts: Java (Spring Boot), React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, AWS, and MySQL. Expertise in these areas is a huge plus, but familiarity with other common languages and frameworks (Node.js, Go, Python, Angular, etc.) is also valuable. We’re a collaborative team that works closely with product managers, designers, backend, frontend, iOS, Android, automation, and quality engineers.  What you will be doing

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new product features.
• Build modern, scalable UI components using React, TypeScript, and micro-frontend patterns.
• Develop RESTful backend services using Java / Spring Boot and collaborate on technical design.
• Contribute heavily to team projects and deliver high-quality results with significant business impact.
• Take ownership of features or systems and define their long-term technical health.
• Collaborate with support and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Continuously improve engineering standards, tooling, and development processes.

What you should have

• You have completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• 1–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, RESTful services.
• Experience in Java (preferably Java 11+) and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive decisions within the team.
• Ability to write maintainable, testable, and high-quality code.
• Strong communication skills — able to explain complex concepts clearly to engineers and stakeholders.

What is nice to have

• Experience with global state management tools (Redux/Redux Saga or Context API).
• Experience with server state libraries such as React Query (preferred).
• Experience with UI and location libraries such as Ant Design and Google Maps API (preferred).
• Experience in micro-frontend architecture (Module Federation, Vite, Webpack).
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Maven/Gradle.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Experience in large-scale microservice architectures.
