SRE Engineer – 12-Month Consulting Assignment (Hybrid, Oslo)

We are looking for an experienced SRE/DevOps Engineer for a 12-month consulting engagement in Oslo, Norway, with the possibility of extension. The role is central to supporting our client’s ongoing digital transformation and ensuring high system reliability in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Location: Oslo, Norway

Experience: 4–7 years

Engagement Type: Consulting (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week on-site)

Duration: 12 months (extendable)

Eligibility: Norwegain citizen or must reside in Norway with a valid work permit

About the Client

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance across environments
• Provide production support and handle incidents proactively
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to improve delivery efficiency
• Manage and optimize cloud/on-premises infrastructure for cost, security, and scalability

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Strong background in production support and incident management
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Working knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
