DevOps Engineer- (Multi-Cloud, Sovereign and on Premises)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Dubai for a DevOps Engineer specializing in Multi-Cloud, Sovereign, and on-premises systems. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), managing system administration tasks, and ensuring high-quality software development and deployment. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining Linux-based environments, setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security.

Main Responsibilities

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or equivalent tools
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for containerized applications
• Ensure release processes are efficient, consistent, and secure

2. Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible
• Automate provisioning and scaling of Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift is a plus)
• Implement self-healing, reconciliation, and automated monitoring mechanisms
• Support automation across multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP or similar), on-premises, and sovereign cloud environments

3. Containerization & Orchestration

• Manage and optimize Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments
• Monitor application performance and tune resources accordingly
• Implement best practices for container security, lifecycle management, and multi-environment deployments

4. Multi-Cloud, On-Prem & Sovereign Cloud Operations

• Manage deployments across public cloud, private cloud, sovereign cloud, and on-premises infrastructure
• Maintain secure connectivity, identity management, and compliance across hybrid setups
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and observability strategies tailored to hybrid architectures

5. Monitoring, Logging & Incident Response

• Set up infrastructure monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools
• Define and maintain logging and alerting systems (e.g., Loki, ELK stack)
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis

6. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with developers and system administration teams
• Document infrastructure architecture, automation scripts, pipelines, and workflows

Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices, reliability, and toolchains

Required Profile

Essential Technical Skills

• Proven experience with Linux-based infrastructure (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
• Strong expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Solid understanding of multi-cloud, on-premises, and hybrid cloud environments, including sovereign cloud setups
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, or Bash)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)
• Knowledge of service mesh and ingress controllers (NGINX, Istio, etc.)
• Familiarity with security tools like SonarQube, Trivy, or similar
