Head of Digital Transformation

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Digital Transformation to lead the bank's digital strategy and initiatives. This pivotal role will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and ensure the bank remains competitive in the rapidly evolving financial landscape of the Middle East. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will spearhead cross-functional teams to implement transformative projects that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation in areas such as fintech, AI, blockchain, and data analytics.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of digital tools and platforms to optimize banking processes, including mobile banking, online services, and cybersecurity enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, operations, compliance, and business units, to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., UAE Central Bank guidelines), and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for digital projects, ensuring they deliver measurable ROI and align with sustainability goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation and digital literacy across the organization through training and change management initiatives.
• Build partnerships with external vendors, fintech startups, and regulatory bodies to support transformation efforts.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital initiatives, such as customer engagement metrics and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CDTP, PMP) would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale digital projects in a regulated environment, preferably in the Middle East or GCC region.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial regulations, and digital technologies specific to the UAE market.
• Experience in agile methodologies, cloud computing, and data-driven decision-making.
