Job Purpose

The Data Analyst will support IHLAD's Digital & Data ecosystem by transforming raw clinical, wearable, operational, and research data into meaningful insights and dashboards. This role ensures strong data workflows, accurate reporting, and collaboration across multiple teams, contributing directly to the efficiency and intelligence of clinical and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting & BI Development
  • Build Power BI dashboards across Clinical, Operational, Finance, Research, and Patient Experience streams.
  • Develop reusable semantic models, DAX measures, KPI definitions, and time-intelligence logic.
  • Implement Row Level Security (RLS) and ensure data confidentiality based on ADHICS and internal governance.
  • Data Engineering Support
  • Integrate datasets from EMR Systems, wearables, PACS, survey systems, and research environments.
  • Build and maintain dataflows, pipelines, and transformations in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2).
  • Work closely with Data Engineering to optimize ingestion, transformations, and schema design.
  • Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation
  • Perform deep-dive analysis for clinical outcomes, compliance, operational performance, and longitudinal health data.
  • Develop insights for leadership dashboards, quarterly board updates, clinical decision support, and research partners.
  • Quality, Governance & Documentation
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain validation frameworks and quality controls across pipelines.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for models, datasets, dictionary, logic, and workflows.
  • Support the rollout of IHLAD Data Governance, Metadata, and Ownership frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, front desk, operations, research teams, finance, and senior leadership.
  • Align with external vendors for integrations, data extracts, APIs, WSDLs, and transformation requirements.
  • Support training and onboarding for dashboards and reports.

Governance & Compliance

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Head of Data & Analytics (Andri T. Tamba) and works closely with Digital, IT Infrastructure, Clinical Operations, Research, Finance, and external vendors.

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to ADHICS, PDPL, and internal data governance policies.
  • Maintain strict data confidentiality and security across all deliverables.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Responsible for analytical logic, dashboard design, KPI definitions, and data modeling decisions within assigned domains.
  • Provides analytical recommendations that inform clinical, operational, and leadership decisions.

Competencies And Skills

Core Competencies

  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills across data modeling, ingestion, and ETL pipelines.

Technical Skills

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Power BI (expert) – DAX, semantic models, incremental refresh, optimization
  • SQL (advanced) – T-SQL, PL/SQL, analytical functions
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and BI best practices

Data Engineering (support level)

  • Power BI Dataflows / Fabric Dataflows Gen2
  • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory Pipelines)
  • ETL/ELT logic and dimensional modeling

Other Technical Skills (preferred)

  • Python for data manipulation
  • Healthcare data (HL7, FHIR, EMR), wearables, research datasets
  • Familiarity with ADHICS, PDPL, governance frameworks

Qualifications And Experience

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • 5–10+ years of experience in Analytics/BI roles (healthcare preferred but not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated portfolio of dashboards, data models, and KPI frameworks.

Working Conditions

Work Environment

  • Office-based, with regular interaction across clinical, operational, and digital teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Standard office duties; extended screen time for data and analytics work.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal; occasional vendor or partner meetings as required.
