About the Role
As a Backend Engineer, you will focus primarily on Java development (70%), while contributing to quality assurance (30%). The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Participate in code reviews, database optimization, and microservices performance tuning.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality releases.
- Troubleshoot production issues, implement long-term fixes, and ensure system reliability.
- Contribute to QA efforts and maintain code quality standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from top universities
- Solid understanding of Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Mandarin is required due to the need to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients and counterparts
