We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to contribute to major initiatives and build high quality and architecturally sound systems for global usage.
Job scope:
- Compile and submit data to regulatory bodies.
- Establish vision and technical direction for major initiatives and build high quality and architecturally sound systems for global usage
- Work towards sprint goals which means hands-on programming, testing and putting the new solutions into production.
Requirements:
- Relevant university degree (Computer Science/Engineering).
- 6 years of commercial software development experience using structured software development procedures in UNIX and Windows 7 environments.
- 6+ years of commercial hands-on experience in Python.
- Knowledge in Perl and Java preferred.
- Experience in Application containerisation (e.g. Openshift).
- Knowledge in CICD.
- Experience in Linux and Shell Scripting
- Solid knowledge of SQL, ideally with DB2 and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with GIT, Jira, Jenkins and BitBucket.
- Experience with Scrum preferred.
- Knowledge in Microservices, Kafka and/or AWS preferred.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, and good presentation skills.
- Experience in finance industry such as stock broking or wholesale finance is preferred.
