This role offers the chance to be a founding mobile engineer, shaping the first iOS and Android apps for a company transforming mental health care with AI-driven experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful patient-facing features. The position emphasizes building high-quality, production-ready mobile applications from the ground up, influencing engineering practices, and directly contributing to accessible, responsible, and personalized mental health solutions. As part of a remote-first environment, you will collaborate across time zones while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance. The role blends technical depth with real-world product impact in a fast-evolving, mission-driven field.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and ship production mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into high-quality features
- Maintain and improve code quality, debugging, testing, and documentation standards
- Contribute to the architecture and foundation of a new mobile codebase
- Support 0→1 product development, including CI/CD setup, shared components, and analytics integration
- Mentor and collaborate with team members to establish engineering best practices
- Deliver patient-focused features that enhance accessibility and usability in mental health care
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in professional mobile development
- 2+ years of experience with React Native
- Proven experience shipping production mobile features on iOS and/or Android
- Strong debugging, testing, and code quality discipline
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Preferred: familiarity with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) modules, 0→1 mobile product experience, and contributions to shared mobile infrastructure (CI/CD, component library, analytics)
- 100% remote work environment (U.S. based, except Hawaii)
