Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with iOS application development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

As a part of Fitbit Device Interactions team, you will work cross- functionally with mobile, firmware and backend engineers to deliver features related that enhance the user experience with devices post out-of-boxing. In this role, you will connect wireless sensor devices to cloud-based storage while providing users tools to track progress, set goals and compete with friends, supporting Fitbit's mission to make the world healthier through data-driven insights.Fitbit’s wide range of innovative products, including smartwatches, trackers, and a smart scale, help people lead healthier, more active lives by empowering them with data, inspiration, and guidance to reach their health and fitness goals. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Contribute as a key member to the Fitbit ecosystem by working closely with mobile, backend, firmware, and quality engineers to achieve team goals.
• Build solutions that will work and scale for years to come.
• Write scalable, well-tested code and encourage your peers to do so as well.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
