This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who excels at leading complex projects from inception to completion. The Sr. IT Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure deliverables meet business goals and quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, and reporting on multiple technical projects, while identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive mindset to drive process improvements. The position offers the opportunity to influence IT initiatives, support business growth, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels in a fully remote setting.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end IT project management for multiple complex projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to business objectives
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, planning sessions, and solutioning meetings to align teams and resources
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, plans, and dashboards to track progress and communicate status
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes
  • Coordinate activities across IT, business, and external vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Implement continuous process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in IT, software development, or technical engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and proactively seek process improvements
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements (SOX, FERPA, GLBA, Accreditation Standards) is a plus
  • Able to perform minor physical tasks such as lifting up to 5 pounds and occasional stooping or crouching
