Security Engineer

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with vulnerability assessment, security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling and insider threat.
• 2 years of experience with incident management and incident response.
• 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with malware prevention.
• Excellent communication skills and a data-driven methodical approach towards solving tests.

Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. Responsibilities

• Conduct security investigations of Cloud security and vulnerability incidents, analyzing various data sources to assess risk and impact and communications with key stakeholders.
• Manage multiple cross-functional efforts and escalations simultaneously with engaging priorities. Solve complex technical problems that involve independent but interconnected components.
• Serve as the go-to person for broad security domains and understand the interplay of threats between systems and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Google, including Legal, Engineering, and Communications teams.
• Investigate impact to Google Cloud customers to determine if new detection or compromise notifications are necessary.
