Role Purpose
As a Business Intelligence Analyst based in Brussels, you will play a key role in shaping Belgian and Luxembourg analytics offerings. Collaborating closely with local teams and leadership, you will leverage data to drive insights, enhance client value and propel our business operations forward.
Your role is nested within the larger EMEA Analytics team, ensuring synergy with a wide array of talent including data scientists and automation specialists. You will report directly to the BI Lead of the Netherlands.
You will specialise in analysing and interpreting data, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions for both our clients and internal operations. Your exceptional analytical skills, combined with a deep understanding of BI tools, will enable you to visualise and communicate complex data effectively. This high-visibility role is not just about analysing numbers, it's about being at the heart of innovation and playing a key role in driving significant, positive change across our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve internal data processes, storage and reporting by launching BI projects and tools.
- Simplify and visualize complex data through reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with the wider EMEA Analytics team to ensure alignment and best outcomes, and facilitate communication between the EMEA team and local team.
- Identify successful BI initiatives from the EMEA team and scale them to Belgium and Luxembourg.
- Work closely with local teams and clients, translating their needs and feedback into actionable analytics projects.
- Ensure transparency and clarity in all BI projects and deliverables.
- Convert strategic business inquiries into actionable insights by actively seeking out and defining necessary analytics resources and requirements.
- Support business objectives by tracking KPIs and enabling smarter, data-driven decisions.
- Fluent in English, with Dutch or French as a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer sciences, economics or any related field.
- Excellent skills and experience in data visualization tools ( e.g. Power BI or Tableau).
- Good knowledge of databases, SQL and data modelling; experience with Python is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data analysis is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver projects from start to finish.
- Committed, able to work to deadlines, prioritise and juggle between tasks.
- Strong communication skills to present findings and to keep communication lines open between the different teams.
