In this role, you'll conduct cutting-edge research and development in computer graphics, view synthesis related to Gaussian Splats, apply AI/deep learning techniques to develop new solutions and help translate technological research innovations into commercial products running on real devices.
This position is an ideal opportunity for those who already have experience with 3D reconstruction, optimization and on-device 3D real-time rendering.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel algorithms for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and related scene representations.
- Improve performance, quality, and efficiency of 3DGS, including improving reconstruction time, fidelity, compression techniques and real-time rendering performance.
- Build and validate algorithm solutions using research-oriented programming languages and deep learning frameworks (e.g., Python, C++, PyTorch) and implement features that support on-device Gaussian Splatting related user scenarios.
- Stay at the forefront of state-of-art research and contribute to advancements in dynamic scenes and Generative AI for future use cases.
- Collaborate closely with the team to integrate pre-research into product pipeline and potentially contribute to patent applications for new solutions invented.
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Vision or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong background in computer graphics, computer vision and deep learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++, with experience in frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and experience with GPU shader programming.
- Familiarity with scene representation techniques such as Gaussian Splatting, NeRF, and Structure-from-Motion (SfM).
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to share knowledge, present research and collaborate effectively.
