Senior Game Designer (freelance) F/M

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team, on Project Fading Echo.

New Tales is currently looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior Game Designer (F/M) to join our adventure at NEW TALES.

What is the job about?

In order to support the current design team, you will take ownership of the progression of a 10-hour game with RPG elements at ALPHA stage, and drive improvements up until the release of the game.

That is great but what does it mean for the day to day?

• Onboard a project in alpha stage
• Balance, tweak and define progression for player perks and enemies
• Polish the game experience on multiple design topics based on player feedback
  
  

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• 6+ years' experience in game development
• Excellent understanding of systemic gameplay
• Willingness to turn a great game into a game of the year
  
  

What do you need to succeed?

• Be a true team player, able to build relationships to establish trust and respect
• Understanding that iteration makes quality
• Demonstrated autonomy and responsibility
• Experience with Unreal
• Ability to be available, patient, benevolent and inclusive
• Extra: Technical background (personal or educational)
• Extra: Experience as a player, and/or a previous role on Action RPG
