Astrum Search is working alongside a global manufacturer to recruit a Group IT Internal Controls Manager in Dublin. This is a newly created role in a newly formed in-house team.


This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the internal control framework from the ground up and play a key role in driving SOX compliance across this global business.


What you’ll do:

  • Support the design and continuous improvement of the Group’s internal control framework.
  • Work closely with regional and functional stakeholders to embed key IT controls, ensuring they are properly designed, implemented, and tested.
  • Maintain oversight of the SOX testing programme, identifying opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency.
  • Guide and advise control owners on remediation plans, ensuring timely resolution of deficiencies.
  • Champion the use of data analytics to monitor control performance, detect anomalies, and support better decision-making.
  • Partner with data teams to build dashboards, KPIs, and visual reporting tools to enhance transparency.
  • Lead the integration of AI-driven solutions and digital tools into control processes.


What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years’ experience in IT controls, technology risk, internal audit, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of SOX, ICFR, and the relationship between risks, processes, and controls.
  • Experience with ERP environments, cloud platforms, cybersecurity concepts, and analytics tools (e.g. Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
  • Ability to manage deadlines, navigate complexity, and operate with a flexible, hands-on approach.
