Senior IAM Engineer

My client is looking for 2x Permanent Senior IAM Engineer on a remote basis. Please apply if you have either EntraID and/or Okta experience.

The Job:

• Build and maintain authentication solutions for internal users, partners, and external customers using platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or similar technologies.
• Develop and tune authentication workflows, policies, and orchestration logic.
• Configure and implement SSO and MFA across various applications and services.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure identity requirements and security standards are consistently met.
• Lead design discussions, provide technical guidance, and participate in engineering reviews to maintain high-quality IAM practices.
• Evaluate new technologies through Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects and present recommendations.
• Support production deployments and provide on-call assistance when required.
• Contribute to scaling identity systems and improving platform resilience.

Have You:

• 7+ years of experience working within Identity & Access Management.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Okta Identity Engine (OIE), Auth0, or comparable IAM tools.
• Strong understanding of SSO technologies and industry-standard protocols:

SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed.

• Expertise in working with authentication and authorization tokens such as JWT, OAuth tokens, and SAML assertions for API integrations and application security.
• Experience integrating and federating identity solutions across multiple domains and platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity architectures across hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex IAM issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as:

PowerShell, Python, Java, JavaScript, .NET, Terraform, or equivalent.

• Experience building or integrating identity federation solutions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Okta, Microsoft, CISSP, CISM) are beneficial.
