WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go (Golang).
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, testable code and ensure robust system architecture and performance.
• Use Python for scripting, automation, data pipelines or auxiliary backend tools.
• Work with SQL databases: design schema, write complex queries, perform optimisations, ensure data integrity.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Monitor, profile and improve system performance, scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, root-cause and resolve production issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, identify technical debt, and propose/implement enhancements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Strong experience (e.g., 5+ years) in backend software development with Go (Golang).
• Proven experience writing production-ready services in Go, with a solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python for backend tooling, automation or data-related tasks.
• Strong SQL skills: database design, complex queries, optimisation and experience with relational databases.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices: design patterns, testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, version control.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, DevOps, data).
• Good communication skills and project-management mindset—comfortable owning end-to-end modules.
• Experience in a high-growth / fast-changing environment, with a test-and-learn mindset and iterative approach.
