About the job
As the Deputy Director, Projects (Application & Platform), TO, you are responsible for supporting the Director, Digital Solutions and Services in facilitating the digital transformation of NTUC. You are expected to be hands-on and lead your team to:
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Project Managers
- Lead project development on new initiatives
- Lead the team which interfaces with key business units on requirements gathering to define the objective, scope, goals and deliverables for the application and platform which meet the Digital Transformation Journey.
- Lead the team to leverage digital technology solutions for digital transformation/ innovation; to manage project implementation with Agile frameworks; to develop digital technology implementation work plans; and to deploy and operate digital technologies in the workplace in various business areas to meet the business needs of Labour Movement.
- Lead the team to partner with other TO and Business teams to develop a deep understanding of NTUC and partner landscape and to discover market insights and identify customer pain points and future areas of growth
- Actively collaborate with product managers and business units to discover and initiate application development opportunities.
- Actively collaborate with product managers and business units to ensure the successful rollout of features and develop right communication and training materials which will require close coordination with transformation operations
- Actively collaborate with Technical Architecture to review organization’s business application and platforms requirement, map with business model and technology-enabled platforms and solutions. Build and scale business capabilities to grow membership and ensure a seamless and enriching experience.
- Project manage large scale projects involving multiple project managers
- Take a project-lead role to coordinate with other tech teams on large, cross-team projects.
- Deliver on key member experience and business KPIs
- Translate business ambition to operational IT requirements and to oversee the implementation of both business and technology-enabled application and platform solutions to support membership growth.
- Manage projects through the complete application & platform life cycle and deliver sustainable change, including assessing user impact post-launch
- Work with multiple product, project and technical teams to achieve alignment and drive and implement features; Develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships with heads of businesses, commercial, marketing, operations and other business teams
- Utilize data-driven approach to improve project performance that includes tracking and analyzing the performance
- Be able to build and defend your business case and evaluate financial impact of solutions
- Perform review of the tender process to ensure that (a) contractual obligations are met and digital projects are proper review by governance process, and ensure that each digital team members project is successfully delivered by vendors/service providers; (b) contracts continually meet business’s needs; (c) service providers’, application outsourcing partner performance is monitored in accordance to contractual obligations and service-level agreements; and (d) project risks are properly mitigated and managed.
- Manage, planning and control yearly IT Application operation and maintenance budget.
- Manage Application & Platform projects development excellence.
