Job Description

About The Role

Are you a strategic and driven sales professional eager to engage, advance, and close new business deals? Do you thrive in fast-paced sales environments, working alongside top-performing Account Executives (AEs) to drive revenue? If so, this role is for you!

As a Talent Account Executive, you’ll play a key role in both building pipeline and closing deals. You will own the end-to-end sales acquisition process, from discovery and deal qualification to contract negotiations and closing to drive successful outcomes.

This is a high-impact role with exposure to enterprise deal-making, sales strategy, and senior leadership—perfect for ambitious sales professionals looking to hone their closing skills and fast-track their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales acquisition cycle, from prospecting and discovery to negotiating terms and closing new business.
  • Conduct high-impact sales conversations – Lead discovery calls, qualify prospects, and present tailored solutions that align with client needs.
  • Advance and close deals – Navigate complex sales cycles, address objections, and finalize contracts.
  • Strategic Sales Planning – Develop and execute a territory plan, leveraging insights to identify high-value opportunities and maximize conversion rates.
  • Pilot Innovative Strategies - Redefine conventional sales processes to increase effectiveness of market penetration
  • Develop Networks - Develop partnerships that increase network effect, scale and speed of market penetration
  • Market & Competitive Insights – Stay informed on industry trends, customer pain points, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies and value propositions.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management – Maintain accurate records of deal progress, forecast revenue impact, and ensure alignment with sales goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine messaging, optimize sales collateral, and ensure smooth handovers post-sale.
  • Develop and refine best practices – Contribute to sales strategies, coach colleagues, and help improve the overall new business acquisition process.
  • Manage Events & Thought Leadership – Drive engagement through industry events, webinars, and external speaking opportunities to strengthen the brand’s presence and thought leadership.
  • Champion LinkedIn & External Engagement – Use LinkedIn to promote content, showcase industry expertise, and build a strong professional network to drive business growth.

  • You understand how to identify purchase signals and create urgency for LinkedIn’s Talent Solutions.
  • You proactively drive deals forward and have the ability to close new business efficiently.
  • Your contributions increase win rates and shorten sales cycles, leading to measurable revenue impact.
  • You take ownership of key deal stages, helping to qualify, negotiate, and finalize contracts.
  • You establish yourself as a trusted sales partner, influencing sales strategy and shaping how we win new business.
  • You actively manage events and external thought leadership, positioning the company as an industry leader and attracting potential clients.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Fluency in verbal and written Mandarin to manage Mandarin-speaking customers
  • Experience with Recruiting/HR software
  • Experience with SaaS opportunities
  • Knowledge of software contract terms and conditions with the ability to create fair transactions 
  • Strong negotiation and accurate forecasting skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business in an evangelist sales environment 
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and use data to inform decision making and persuade others  
  • Ability to manage a large number of prospect situations simultaneously while positioning company products against direct and indirect competitors 
  • Business development and partnership experience
