Job Title: SAP Sr. Consultant – BW/BI & Datasphere

Duration : 12 months – extendable.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Consultant with deep expertise in SAP Datasphere and SAP BW/4HANA to design, build, and enhance enterprise data warehousing and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in business intelligence projects, full project lifecycle exposure, and strong technical leadership skills.

You will play a strategic and hands-on role in architecting scalable data solutions, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting the organization’s journey toward a unified data ecosystem. Experience with Databricks is highly desirable and will be a strong advantage as we integrate SAP and non-SAP data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Design
• Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of data warehousing solutions using SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy and business objectives.
• Development & Data Modeling
• Build advanced BW/4HANA models including LSA++, Composite Providers, ADSOs, and Open ODS Views.
• Develop integrated, business-semantic data models within SAP Datasphere (Spaces, Graphical & SQL Views, Business Builder).
• Cross-Platform Integration (Desirable)
• Design integration frameworks between SAP Datasphere and the Databricks Lakehouse Platform to support advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning workloads.
• Data Integration & Acquisition
• Integrate data from SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, cloud sources, and non-SAP systems.
• Utilize ODP, SDI, SDA, and other relevant frameworks for efficient data ingestion.
• Analytics & Reporting Enablement
• Deliver analytics-ready datasets for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI platforms.
• Optimize backend models for high-performance reporting.
• Performance Optimization
• Conduct performance analysis and fine-tuning of data flows, data models, and BW queries to ensure system stability and speed.
• Project Leadership & Mentoring
• Lead technical workstreams, support project delivery, and guide junior consultants.
• Act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders during design, development, and decision-making.
  
  

Experience

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW.
• At least 2+ years of project experience in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere (SAP DWC).
• Total: 10+ years working across BI and data warehousing projects.
  
  

Technical Proficiency

• Deep understanding of BW/4HANA concepts, architecture, and modeling objects.
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere (Spaces, Data Builder, Business Builder).
• Strong knowledge of integration across S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and Datasphere.
• Expertise in ODP, SDI, SDA, and related data acquisition technologies.
• Strong SQL and ABAP development skills.
  
  

Analytics Knowledge

• Solid understanding of how backend models integrate with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI tools.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse, including Delta Lake, PySpark, SQL Warehouses, and SAP–Databricks integration.
• SAP BW/4HANA or SAP Datasphere certifications.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and S/4HANA embedded analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud–SAP integrations.
• Consulting experience and exposure to client-facing roles.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  
  

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field, combined with relevant professional experience.
