Big Data Specialist

An International Engineering Consultancy Company is seeking a highly experienced Big Data Specialist to join our Asset Management project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and demonstrated success in data-driven decision-making within large-scale infrastructure or asset management environments.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize big data architectures and pipelines.
• Collect, structure, and analyze large datasets to support asset performance and lifecycle planning.
• Integrate data from multiple platforms and enterprise systems.
• Build dashboards, predictive models, and analytical tools to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Ensure data governance, quality, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, asset management, and IT teams.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Big Data, Data Engineering, or Advanced Analytics.
• Proven experience with big data tools/platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL, and BI/reporting tools.
• Experience working on major infrastructure, utilities, asset management, or FM projects is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior Qatar/GCC experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in English language.
